Week 05

Inequalities

// More than, less than, and a whole set of answers on the number line

An inequality says one side is more than or less than the other. x > 4 has infinitely many solutions: every number above 4. On a number line an open circle marks the boundary, a filled circle means the boundary counts too, and the arrow shows the direction. The crew writes inequalities for puzzle rules like "at least 8 cards", solves px + q > r by undoing on both sides, and graphs the answer.
