Friday: Freddy's dividing game

Freddy the Frog hops onto a lily pad shaped like a big number sign.

"Ribbit! Welcome to the dividing game," he says with a bow.

Samantha the Squirrel is so excited that her tail fluffs up.

"Some lily pads ask about this week," says Freddy. "Some look back at multiplying and decimals."

Bennie the Bear reminds everyone, "Estimate first, then check by multiplying."

Freddy points to the first pad. "Hop on when you are ready!"

840 ÷ 15 = 56?
3,328 ÷ 52 = 74?
1,014 ÷ 26 = 39?
WHY THIS EXERCISE52 × 74 is 3,848, so 3,328 ÷ 52 is 64.
Try it
Hop like Freddy 100 times, in sets of 12.
Count how many full sets you make.
How many hops are left over at the end?
