Bennie rubs his chin. "Let us add all the tens first."
"Then we add all the ones."
14 + 21 + 30 + 25 = ?
Add the tens: 10 + 20 + 30 + 20 = 80.
Add the ones: 4 + 1 + 0 + 5 = 10.
