In a right triangle the ratios of the sides depend only on the acute angle, because all right triangles with that angle are similar. Those ratios are the sine, cosine and tangent of the angle. The sine of an angle equals the cosine of its complement. With one angle and one side, or two sides, the ratios and the Pythagorean theorem solve the whole triangle. This week the crew measures the access ramp, the rigging cable and the ladder with a homemade angle finder.
