People can trust AI too much (automation bias and over-reliance), too little (algorithmic aversion), treat it as a person or become emotionally attached to it. Human roles in AI decisions must be clearly defined, and set-ups range from fully manual to fully automatic. A person and an AI together can do better or worse than either alone. Transparency helps people get wrong outputs put right, and documenting incidents helps prevent repeats.
