Rain taps on the Story Stump all night long.

In the morning, Ferris the Fox shakes drops off his backpack.

"Today we ask when," says Ferris. "When tells us the time."

Chris the Coyote smiles. "Morning, noon and night are all time words."

"I will listen for them," says Ferris.

The Puddle Parade
It rained all night in Fern Hollow.
In the morning, the paths were full of puddles.
Freddy the Frog was so happy that he did a flip.
"Let us have a puddle parade!" he called.
Riley the Raccoon brought his lantern to lead the way.
Samantha the Squirrel tied a bow on her tail.
They splashed down the trail to the Story Stump.
At noon, the sun came out from behind a cloud.
The puddles began to shine like little mirrors.
"Look!" said Samantha. "I can see a rainbow!"
Everyone stopped to look at the colors in the sky.
Then they marched home, wet and smiling.
