Monday: Who, what and where

Chris the Coyote sits on the Story Stump. The feather in his hat waves in the breeze.

Ferris the Fox opens his basket of books. "Then they look back to find the answers," he says.

"Let us be question detectives," says Chris.

The Lost Kite
Rosie the Rabbit had a red kite with a long tail.
On Monday morning, she took it to Sunny Hill.
The wind blew hard, and the kite flew high.
Then the string slipped out of her paws!
The kite sailed over the hill and into the trees.
Rosie hopped after it as fast as she could.
She found Donnie the Deer under a tall oak tree.
"Your kite is up there," Donnie said softly.
Donnie reached up and gently pulled the string down.
"Thank you!" said Rosie, with a big smile.
Then they flew the kite together all morning.
