Thursday: A story with a picture graph

Chris the Coyote opens his storyteller satchel at 4:15 p.m.

"Today I walked the whole trail," he says.

"I counted every owl, frog and duck I saw."

Hazel holds up a big sheet of paper.

"Let us make a picture graph of your animals!"

Story: Chris counts animals

Chris saw owls in the tall pines.

He saw frogs by the pond and ducks on the water.

Hazel draws one dot for each animal he saw.
