Thursday: Halves and fourths

Chris the Coyote unrolls a round paper map.

"Lizzy and Donnie want to share this map," he says.

"Listen to how they made equal parts."

Story: The shared map

Lizzy folded the round map once, right down the middle.

Now it had 2 equal parts.

"Each part is a half," said Donnie.

Then Riley and Rosie came to share it too.

Lizzy folded it again. Now there were 4 equal parts.

"Each part is a fourth," Lizzy said.
