Monday: Which is greater?

Bruce the Bobcat has a new challenge.

"I found 42 pinecones," says Bruce.

"Bennie found 27. Who found more?"

Bennie the Bear looks at the tens.

Learn it: tens first

Bennie builds both numbers with blocks.

42 has 4 tens. 27 has 2 tens.

4 tens are more than 2 tens.
