Monday: Turn-around facts

Rosie the Rabbit hops into the meadow, clapping.

"Bennie, watch me hop 3 and then 5!" she says.

"Now I hop 5 and then 3. Is it the same?"

Learn it: turn the numbers around

Look at the first ten-frame.

It shows 3 red and 5 gold. 3 + 5 = 8.

Now look at the second ten-frame.

It shows 5 red and 3 gold. 5 + 3 = 8.

The order changed, but the sum stayed 8.
