Monday: The same as

Oliver the Owl looks at two nests.

"Each nest holds 5 eggs," says Oliver.

"So the nests are the same. They are equal."

Learn it: the equal sign

This is the equal sign: =.

It means "the same as."

So 3 + 2 = 5 says both sides match.

Read it: 3 plus 2 is the same as 5.
