Monday: Seeds grow like their parents

Rocket holds a dry bean.

"I will grow a sunflower from this!" he says.

Raven asks, "What do you notice about the seed?"

Nova asks, "Where did it come from?"

Like the parent

A bean seed came from a bean plant.

That bean plant is its parent plant.

A bean seed grows into a bean plant.

An acorn grows into an oak tree.

Young plants are very much like their parents.

Rocket's mistake

Rocket wanted a sunflower from a bean seed.

That will not happen!

A bean seed makes a bean plant.

Rocket laughs. "Now I know something new!"
