Wash the germs away

Washing with soap and water is the best way.

It gets rid of germs on your hands.

Soap washes germs away down the drain.

Scrub for at least 20 seconds.

Count slowly to 20 while you scrub.

Five steps

  1. Wet your hands with clean running water.
  2. Turn off the tap and add soap.
  3. Rub your hands to make a lather.
  4. Scrub backs, fingers and nails for 20 seconds.
  5. Rinse your hands under clean running water.
  6. Dry your hands with a clean towel.
