Rocket squeezes his brake lever. It slides almost all the way to the handlebar.
"It still squeezes," he says. "So it is fine, right?"
Raven looks closely. "What do you notice about the space left?"
Nova hovers by the lever. "Brakes need room to squeeze," she says. "How much room is enough?"
Rocket grabs a ruler. "Let's measure!"

Squeezing the lever makes the brakes press and slow the wheel.
One quick check guide gives a simple brake test.
Squeeze the lever. There should be at least 1 inch between the lever and the handlebar.
The brake pads should not rub the tire.
If something looks wrong, a grown-up fixes it before any ride.
