"I am so small!" he laughs.

Raven asks, "What do you notice about the trunk?"

Plants come in all sizes

Grass is a small plant.

It has thin leaves close to the ground.

Many flowers grow on short, soft stems.

A bush is bigger.

It has many woody stems.

A tree is the biggest.

It has one thick, woody stem called a trunk.

Same parts, different sizes

Big plants and small plants have the same parts.

A tree has roots, a trunk, leaves and seeds.

A blade of grass has roots and leaves too.

The parts are just bigger or smaller.
