Try It: Code Word and Call Back

On Saturday, Maya sits down with her kids and her mother. They choose a silly family phrase that no one would guess.

Ben suggests a call-back rule to his grade-level team for any request to share student details.

Rosa writes a short note for her helper: no gift cards, no bank changes, no payments without a call back.

Privacy check before any Try It

Never type your code word into an AI tool, an app or a social media post.
Choose a word or phrase that is not on your social media, like a pet name or street.
Share it in person or by a call you placed yourself, not by text or email.

Your task

  1. Decide who is in your circle: your family, your team or your staff.
  2. Agree on a secret word or phrase together, in person if you can.
  3. Write your call-back rule in one sentence.
  4. Make sure everyone has the real numbers saved for each other.
  5. Practice once: one person plays an urgent caller, and the other uses the word and the call back.
  6. Agree to check the plan again in a few months.
