Tuesday: Passwords Protect

Rocket locks his invention locker with a code. Then he tells everyone the code.

"Now nobody will forget it!" he says proudly.

Raven raises an eyebrow. "What do you notice? Now anyone can open your locker."

Nova blinks. "What is the point of a lock," she asks, "if everyone knows the code?"

What passwords do

A password is a secret word or code.

Passwords protect devices, like tablets, and the information inside them.

A password only works if it stays secret.

Keep your passwords private, even from good friends.

You can share them with a parent or a grown-up who takes care of you.
