Explorer Quest: Person or Tool?

Rocket writes a card: "Can feel proud." Raven writes another: "Can answer in words."

"Let's make a game," Rocket says. "Person, tool or both?"

Raven shuffles the cards. "What do you notice? Some fit both!"

Nova blinks. "Think about what each one can really do," she says.

  1. Some AI can talk with us in everyday language.
  2. It learned word patterns from a huge number of examples that people gathered.
  3. It is a tool. It does not think or feel like a person.
  4. Talking tools can sound kind and sure, and still be wrong.
  5. Talk to a trusted grown-up about feelings, and before using any app.
