Week 12 · Same and Different

Story Hunt

Story Hunt: compare two books
// Compare two texts, rhyme and rhythm, and a big review
⏱ about 15 min

Saturday: Story Hunt

All the friends sit around the Story Stump in the sun.

"This is our last Story Hunt," says Chris the Coyote.

"Find two books about the same thing," says Ferris.

Freddy does a happy hop. "Then compare them, and keep reading always!"

  1. To compare, find what is the same in two texts.
  2. To contrast, find what is different.
  3. Poems use rhyme, rhythm and repeated lines.
  4. Good readers ask questions and look back at the text.
