Donnie steps softly along the trail.

"Look closely," he says.

"Find ck words and pairs of things."

  1. ck makes one sound, like in duck.
  2. An s at the end can mean more.
  3. Sock and rock differ by one sound.

Walk around your home with your grown-up.
Find a sock. Then find socks!
Find a clock or a rock.
Say each word. Listen to the end.
