⏱ about 15 min

Monday: The ind pattern

Ferris the Fox and Freddy the Frog climb the last branch.

It is the top of the Word Tree.

Everyone from the Sound Trail is climbing behind them.

"Look," says Freddy. "This word looks like it has a short i. But it does not!"

"Let us find out why," says Ferris.

See it: ind

Read pin. The i is short, like in pig.

Now look at kind. The i says its name.

When i comes before n and d, it often says its name.

Kind, find, mind, behind.
