Saturday: Sound Hunt

Lizzy the Lizard climbs down the ladder with her notebook.

"Sound Hunt day!" says Lizzy. "Hunt for le words at home."

"Look on the table, in the kitchen and by the sink."

Ferris the Fox rolls up the Sound Map. "Ready, set, go!"

  1. A consonant and le make the last syllable: ta / ble.
  2. Count back three letters to find the le part.
  3. The e in le is silent.
  4. The first part can be closed, like can / dle.
  5. It can be open too, like ta / ble.
