Saturday: Sound Hunt

Lizzy the Lizard runs to the garden gate.

"Sound Hunt day!" says Lizzy.

"Find long a and long i words at home."

  1. Silent e makes no sound.
  2. It makes the vowel say its name.
  3. Cap becomes cape. Kit becomes kite.
  4. Long a: cake, game. Long i: bike, time.

Walk around your home with your grown-up.
Find three things with long a or long i.
A plate? A kite? Tape? Say each word slowly.
