Bennie and Bruce set out on the trail.

"Let us hunt for groups of ten!"

"How many tens can you find?"

Hunt for tens

Walk around your home or yard.

Look for groups of 10 things.

Count the groups by tens.

Try it: Number Hunt
Find 10 fingers and 10 toes.
Find 10 leaves. Then 10 more.
Count the steps on some stairs.
Make 3 piles of 10 rocks.
Count 10, 20, 30!

Your grown-up says a ten, like 40.
You say the next ten.
Then count by ones from 20 to 30.
Take turns five times.
Draw your groups of ten from the hunt.
For a grown-up
This week your child counted to 100.
They counted by tens and by ones.
Count by tens on car rides or walks.
Help them past numbers like 29 and 39.
