Oliver the Owl finds two piles of acorns.

"Which pile has more?" he asks.

Bennie the Bear smiles. "Let us count both piles."

Learn it: count both groups

Count the red dots. There are 4.

Count the blue dots. There are 6.

6 is more than 4.

We say 6 is greater than 4.

Four red dots and six blue dots.

So 4 is less than 6.
