Freddy the Frog has lined the pond with lily pads in a long curving row.

"Ribbit! Each pad has a fraction puzzle," he says, adjusting his bow tie.

"Some add, some subtract, and some have mixed numbers."

"And a few pads come from earlier weeks on the trail."

Donnie steps carefully to the edge of the pond.

Bennie settles on a log. "Keep the denominator. Add or subtract the numerators."

Freddy grins. "Every pad you solve makes the pond sparkle!"
