Tuesday: Quadrilaterals, pentagons and cubes

Oliver the Owl lands on a wooden sign and adjusts his glasses.

"This sign has four sides," he says thoughtfully.

"Any flat shape with four sides is a quadrilateral."

Ferris the Fox points to a box by the trail.

"And this box is a cube," Ferris says. "It has flat faces!"

Learn it: shapes by their sides

A quadrilateral has 4 sides. Squares and rectangles are quadrilaterals.

A pentagon has 5 sides and 5 angles.

A hexagon has 6 sides and 6 angles.
