Thursday: A story about fair shares

Chris the Coyote sets his satchel beside a round berry pie.

"Today my story is about sharing," he says.

"Rosie and Bennie want to share this pie fairly."

Hazel the Hedgehog asks, "What does fair mean?"

"Fair means every share is the same size," says Chris.

Story: Sharing the pie

Rosie and Bennie split the pie into 2 equal parts.

Each friend gets one half.

Then Hazel and Ferris come along.

Now they split the pie into 4 equal parts. Each friend gets one fourth!
