Saturday: Number Hunt

Bennie the Bear and Lucy the Ladybug set off on a hunt.

"Today we look for pairs and arrays," says Bennie.

"Arrays hide in windows, egg cartons and tile floors," says Lucy.

"And pairs hide in shoes, socks and even mittens!"

Hunt for pairs and arrays

Then you make rows and say the total.
Switch jobs and play again.
Draw an array you found on your hunt.
For a grown-up
This week your child learned odd, even and arrays.
Ask them to make pairs to test odd or even.
For an array, ask, "How many rows? How many in each row?"
Adding the rows is the start of times tables later.

Great hunting! Next week Samantha helps us with hundreds.
