Monday: Count on to add

Lucy the Ladybug sits on a big daisy.

"I see 4 bees and 2 more," she says.

Bennie smiles. "Let us add them!"

Learn it: count on to add

Add means put groups together.

Start with the first number, 4.

Count on 2 more: 5, 6.

So 4 plus 2 is 6.
