Week 04

Loops

// Doing a job many times, and knowing when to stop

Iteration is a repeating portion of an algorithm. It repeats a specified number of times (REPEAT n TIMES) or until a given condition is met (REPEAT UNTIL). With REPEAT UNTIL, the condition is checked before the loop, so if it starts true the body never runs, and if it can never become true the loop is infinite. Hand tracing a loop in a trace table shows exactly what it does.
