Crew Quest: Care chart

Rocket tapes a big paper to the wall.

"Our care chart!" he says.

Raven holds the marker. "What should we add?"

Nova glows. "Hint: start with hands."

  1. Clean hands, two hands, walk.
  2. Drinks and snacks stay away. Dry cloth only.
  3. Cords by the wall. Grown-ups move plugs.
  4. Passwords stay private. Log off when done.
◇ MAKE A FAMILY CARE CHART
Get a big piece of paper.
Write or draw the six care rules.
Walk around your home together.
Find one spot where a device should live.
Hang the chart near that spot.
Safety first
Leave plugs and cords where they are.
Tell a grown-up about any cord in the way.
Use crayons or markers, not anything wet near devices.
For a grown-up
Let your child lead the chart.
Pick the device home spot together.
Say which jobs are yours: plugs, cords, liquids, passwords.
