An app is a list of instructions.
The processor follows the instructions one by one.
Each app has a different list.
A paint app has instructions for drawing.
A music app has instructions for playing songs.
All the instructions together are called software.
The parts you can touch are called hardware.
Nova is software too. She lives inside a machine.
