Rocket shakes the desktop mouse. "It is stuck!"

The pointer does not move at all.

Raven kneels down. "What do you notice?"

Nova points. "Hint: follow the cable."

Safe fixes for a mouse

First, say the problem clearly.

Rocket says: the pointer does not move.

Then try the safe fixes in order.

  1. Say the problem out loud.
  2. Look at the mouse cable. Is it pushed in?
  3. Try a different mouse.
  4. Still stuck? Tell a grown-up.
Safety first
Only check a cable that goes into the computer.
Never touch a wall plug.
A mouse with a battery is a grown-up job.
