Tuesday: Water the plant

Lizzy fills a small cup at the tap.

"Slow and low," she says. "Right on the soil."

The droopy plant perks up by bedtime.

Slow and low

Use a small cup, not a big jug.

Pour slowly onto the soil.

Water the soil, not the leaves.

Stop when the top of the soil is damp.

Wipe up any drips with a cloth.

Then put the cup away.

  1. Check the soil. Dry? Keep going.
  2. Fill a small cup with water.
  3. Pour slowly onto the soil.
  4. Stop when the soil is damp.
  5. Wipe up drips.
