Family Helper Day: Kitchen helper

Saturday in Fern Hollow. Bennie knocks on your door.

"Your kitchen needs a helper today," he says.

Rosie the Rabbit cheers from the garden.

  1. Wash hands: wet, soap, scrub, rinse, dry.
  2. Wash fruit and vegetables under cool water.
  3. Measure dry things. Fill the cup and level it.
  4. Stir slowly in a bowl on the table.
  5. No heat, no cutting, no tasting.
◇ HELP WITH ONE MEAL

Wash the fruit or vegetables for the meal.
Measure one dry thing for your grown-up.
Stir something in a bowl on the table.
Your grown-up does the rest of the cooking.
Eat together as usual.
Safety first
A grown-up does anything hot or sharp.
Stir only in a bowl on the table.
Nothing goes in your mouth while you help.
For a grown-up
