Monday: Meet the Refrigerator

Rocket presses his hand on the fridge door. "It feels cool."

He walks around to the back. "Hey! Back here it feels warm."

Raven tilts her head. "Cool in front, warm in back. What do you notice?"

Nova shows a glowing cutaway. "Would you like a hint? Follow the heat."

Rocket, Raven and Nova stand beside an open refrigerator. Nova glows above the thick door and its seal.

A fridge keeps food cold

A fridge is a machine that keeps food cold.

It lives in the kitchen and runs all day and night.

Inside, the air stays cold.

The back of a fridge can feel warm when it runs.
