Code Crew Grade 1

Code Crew Grade 1 is the bridge from the visual-puzzle Kindergarten course into actual coding language. Kids join Rocket and Raven and meet Nova, the crew's AI drone-bird, who runs simple typed instructions exactly as written. Kids read every program line and answer by tapping, with zero typing required. The sentences stay short, the vocabulary stays controlled, and the puzzles get bigger. Kids finish the course able to read and build 4-6-line programs with loops and simple conditions.

  • Read and follow a 4 to 6 line set of typed instructions
  • Write a sequence to solve a puzzle
  • Use a repeat block (introductory loops)
  • Use a simple if-then (introductory conditionals)
  • Find and fix bugs in a short program
  • Plan a path before running it (introductory algorithmic thinking)

No card, ever, while every course is free.

How a daily session works

Every day runs through the same four short phases. 10 to 15 minutes, audio on every screen, built so a five-year-old can run it without grown-up help.

  1. 1

    Welcome (Hi)

Rocket and Raven say hi and call out the big idea for the day.

  2. 2

    Watch a tiny story (Watch)

Two or three short illustrated screens, each with audio.

  3. 3

    Try it yourself (Try)

A big-tap-target puzzle: sort steps, plot a path, or predict what is next.

  4. 4

    Done. High five. (Done)

A celebration screen, a one-line recap, and Next to the next day.
