Rocket peeks into a hand mirror.

"My pupils look bigger now!" he says.

Raven asks, "What do you notice when lights change?"

Nova says, "Watch closely and wait."

You need

  • A hand mirror
  • A room with a light you can dim
  • A grown-up helper
Safety first
Never shine a light into anyone's eyes.
A grown-up controls the room lights.
Stay sitting while the room is dim.

Steps

  1. Sit with the mirror in a bright room.
  2. Look at the size of your pupils.
  3. A grown-up makes the room dim.
  4. Wait and count slowly to ten.
  5. Look at your pupils again.
  6. A grown-up turns the lights back on.
  7. Watch your pupils one more time.
