Rocket invents a pretend creature, a zib.

Zibs have spots!

Raven asks, "What do you notice?"

Nova hints, "Show examples. Do not tell."

You will need

  • Eight small paper cards
  • Crayons
  • A grown-up to be the learner
Safety first
A grown-up cuts the cards.
Crayons stay out of mouths.
Work at a table.

What to do

  1. Draw four zibs. Give each one spots.
  2. Draw four not-zibs with no spots.
  3. Show your grown-up each card.
  4. Say "zib" or "not a zib" for each.
  5. Do not say the secret: spots!
  6. Draw one new creature. Can they guess?
