Friday: Strong Privacy Habits

Rocket writes a list called "Rocket's Privacy Rules" in huge letters and tapes it above his bunk.

Rule one says: "Never tell anyone anything ever."

Raven reads it and laughs. "Then how will you share your snapshots with the schools?"

Rocket scratches his head. "Okay, maybe that rule is too strong."

Nova floats closer. "Good habits are not about hiding everything," she says. "They are about choosing on purpose."

Rocket erases rule one and writes: "Pause before I share. Ask a grown-up when I am unsure."

Habits that protect you

  • Never type personal information into any app or website, including a chatbot.
  • Ask a grown-up before using any AI tool outside this course.
  • Keep passwords and codes secret, except from a trusted adult who helps protect them.
  • Before sharing, ask: does this show where someone is, their body, or their health?
  • If something online is upsetting or asks for secrets, stop and tell a trusted adult.
HABIT CHECK
  • Read the question.
  • Tap your answer.
A chatbot in a game asks for your full name and school. What do you do?
A friend asks for your password to "help" with a game. What do you do?
You want to post a drawing of your street sign. What should you check first?
